Pleated Pants : How To Wear

Tina, here.

Pleated pants are in general a big fat "No." But, as always, there are exceptions. And that's what I'm here for, to show you how to break the rules the right way. Why have I pulled almost every single pair of pleated pants out of all the closets I've seen over the years? Because most of them are bad. Bad like capris (which are actually evil), and bad like camo. The wrong pleated pants add bulk and blow up your mid-section.

How about the right pleated pants, and how to wear them? Like this:

Maximum 1 or 2 pleats per side.

Pair with a slim top, preferably tucked.

Reverse-facing pleats for a flatter front, not forward-facing. (Men need forward-facing to give them a little more space.)
