I just can't enough of Hinson Wu white blouses. I am telling you, I have found very few others who do them better. I have several styles, and this is my new favorite because, get this, it's a dressy tunic without being sloppy and bulky around the hips, and still gives you room to move and sit and dance if you so choose. Make sure you look at the reverse of the blouse and you'll see their secret. It's more expensive to cut a blouse like this, but I have to say I think it's well-priced with my discount!

So I want you to notice I'm wearing a floral scarf with windowpane printed pants and animal print shoes. I'd say it works! The key is that the scale of the patterns are all different, and the white blouse is the peacemaker. Anyway, try it. But you've also GOT to get these Peace of Cloth knit pants (they come in many styles). It's the fabric. Substantial yet soft. Stretchy without losing their shape. Perfect leg shape - not too straight, not too wide. 

You'll see all I did to wear the scarf was fold it in half, then toss it around my neck. Done. No fussing! Such a great way to add color to an outfit. I'm also wearing the Kenneth Jay Lane Pearl Triple Strand Necklace ($150, Your Price $120).

Are you finding yourself in need of mid-weight blouses you can wear when it's too warm for a sweater but you need something more substantial than those thin, wispy blouses? Here you go. This navy blouse is soooo pretty and it doesn't have ridiculous puff shoulders like you see on adult women who should not be wearing them. It drapes beautifully when you wear it untucked. And may I just say, there is something mysterious, almost mystical, about these slim ankle pants, I kid you not. I tried to explain it to a wardrobe client of mine, but it's hard to describe. They just are plain beautiful. And luxurious. A very high quality knit ("knit" seems almost too plebeian a word for them) and the color has some beige-y grey in it so they can go warm or cool. Investment piece. Year round, so cost per wear will become darn near cheap!

Who says pearls have to be real? This triple strand pearl necklace would cost you a pretty penny if they were South Sea pearls, so snag them while you can before everyone figures out the secret.

Ooooh I love the color and feel of this turquoise blouse. And the sleeve detail is so special! Not to mention quite flattering to your wrists. Wondering what you would wear it with? White jeans of course. Or ivory jeans. But I paired it with these green velvet ankle jeans and I think it is such a festive pairing that doesn't look too, too seasonal, so you can wear these pants well into January and February!

More and more mid-weight sweaters make sense. And I love a good collar on a sweater like this polo sweater! That's the beauty - you can wear it alone or over a blouse.

Don't you love a good casual, yet pulled-together look that's as easy as 1, 2, 3! Easy white blouse + lovely pale pink sweater + these ivory jeans. I cannot emphasize how pretty this sweater is - I think it's the neckline, but also, again, it's the fabric. Such a good hand, which affects how it lays, which sadly this photo doesn't show very well because my French handmaid who spots me had the day off, but it's also the weight of it. It's 85/15 silk and cashmere, but you don't have to dry clean it!!!! Sold. And these AG jeans are everyone's favorite. These are a rich, dark amaretto red, almost brown, and oh so lusciously, velvety comfy.
