Yes, neckerchiefs.
They are a thing. And you'll be wanting to try it this spring. They are in fact a big spring trend.
Neckerchiefs (baby scarves) are a fun accessory. But it's like wearing a hat; it takes some guts. I broke myself into the habit by wearing my bandana as a neckerchief on a hiking trip last fall.
But for everyday boppin' around town? The trick is, the rest of your outfit has to be kind of hip to keep this new-again trend in the year 2017.
I wouldn't ever really use the word "hip" to describe me (HA! Can you imagine), and I have a tendency to go old lady real fast because I like cardigans and pearls. So if I'm going to wear a neckerchief, it has GOT to be with something that leans towards cool. Like chic all black, head to toe. Cropped jeans and loafers make this a current look (less expensive option here)
I'm wearing a boat neck tee (so flattering on anyone), and even a necklace. It just makes it look unstudied and not too "flight attendant." Neckerchiefs also look amazing with off-the-shoulder blouses and dresses.
If you wear a neckerchief with a collared blouse, like a white button down, the neckerchief goes inside the collar.
