Embrace This Spring-To-Summer Uniform
Tina, here.
I wish I could get more of you to embrace this fabric. It is lightweight. It's casual. It breathes. It drapes beautifully. But it wrinkles. Like, really wrinkles. But it's worth it. Let's take a look.
Dreamy linen. Linen is a dream. I feel like Karen Blixen when I wear it. I love the Edwardians. Their safaris. Their tea. Their jewelry, their housekeeping habits, and their dress, especially their linen. I'm wearing a Theory Linen Double-Breasted Blazer with a J. Crew linen button down blouse (save $20 on the same blouse here!).
I buy linen blouses and linen pants every Spring it seems. They just get better with washing. You can tuck them in or wear them out, all depends on your style.
Wear linen blouses under a suit, with shorts, or with a fancy skirt to a summer soiree. The wrinkles make it feel so relaxed, as if you could take tea on a luscious lawn where croquet is being played nearby. And why not? Wear flowy linen pants with a tee and your Jack Rogers, or with a silk blouse and heels. It's supposed to wrinkle. Let it. You and everyone around you will feel the joys of a slow summer day or dreamy evening.
