Men Roll and Women Cuff: How To Cuff Your Sleeves
Tina, here.
Why cuff? Because men roll their sleeves; women cuff theirs. A roll makes our wrists look bigger than they are. And who wants that! Also, showing a bit of wrist has the same effect as showing a bit of the nape of your neck, or wearing an elongating v-neck instead of a boy-cut crew neck tee. It's feminine and flattering. And perhaps counterintuitively creates the appearance of longer, leaner arms.
How To Cuff Your Sleeves
This, dolls, is what we want. Cuffs that stay cuffed. It's a finished look. And unfussy. I am loving all things All-American right now, like this denim jacket, in "Belle Blue." Plus size "Ocean Sail." And petite (in Off-White and Heritage Wash).
1. Start with your sleeves unrolled, and unbuttoned. If there is a snap or button on the placket, you may want to fasten it to make the arm tighter.
2. Turn up your sleeve one time, up to right past your elbow, making a big fold.
You want to make sure you have plenty of sleeve to work with.
3. Now cuff or roll the lower portion of your sleeve up to meet the shirt or jacket's cuff at your elbow.
You may want to roll it a couple times.
4. Make sure the corners of your new cuffed sleeve come up over the seam of your shirt or jacket's cuff, to hold it in place.
I like to push my sleeves all the way up my arm. Ok, so if you have on a jacket or shirt with cuffs, go stand in front of the mirror, and cuff one side. Just one. Now look at the difference between your arms! Night and day. Sloppy and dowdy to smart and stylish.
Style Vault Complete Insiders, you're getting a special video of me showing you how to cuff your sleeves. Somehow the in-person version is quite entertaining if I do say so myself. Watch it here.
Thanks for reading, and sleeves up, my dears!

ps here are some denim jackets I am loving right now! And couldn't resist adding some animal print.
Remember Taryn Rose!! Good-looking and orthopedic women's heels?! I found these animal print pumps (far left) when looking for a pair similar to the ones I'm wearing, but I knew you had to see these. And they're on sale. Welcome.
