What a terrible week. Let's not forget our servicemen and women, Gold Star families, our leaders and our fellow brothers and sisters across the globe...we press on...I know I’m a chronic underpacker, but it is for a reason. I like to travel light without requiring the help of anyone, plus I like to have room to shop. Duh. I hope wherever you are this weekend, you are loving some pre-fall weather. And please know if we pack you for any trip, we will let you take more than two pairs of pants and two shirts. Promise.

Here's my formula for a 4 day/3 night trip: I choose a 3-color palette (2 neutrals + a pop of color), 2 pairs of pants, 2 - 3 tops, several camis so my tops stay fresh, a couple wraps and/or blazer or jacket, two pairs of shoes, and I mix and match everything so I have at least 7 outfits for a 4 day weekend. I've done 2 different "suitcases" for you. The first one the Insiders received early and have already been shopping. The second "suitcase" is new.

First Suitcase - Packing For A Fall Weekend Girls Trip With New Fall Fashion

Here's my 1st palette, pink, grey and black. Scroll down to shop the second suitcase! 

I wear the same outfit traveling both ways, with my heaviest pair of shoes. I also wear the same jewelry all weekend, no chance of losing any of it if I'm wearing it.

Here is my 1st suitcase (this is hypothetical unless someone has room for me on their next trip, Leanne). I've left out pj's, lingerie and toiletries. This exercise is so you can see how to pack very few articles of clothing and shoes. But you can see a full packing list here.
