Spring Refresh: New Season, New Style

There’s something about Spring that calls for a fresh start—longer days, lighter layers, and a renewed sense of excitement and anticipation for what a new season of life brings us. As the seasons shift, so does our style, and I’m thrilled to announce a refresh of my services with a few additions designed to help you step into Spring with the wardrobe you've always wanted and to make getting dressed feel fresh and effortless.

Aren't we always looking for easy, uncomplicated ways to elevate an outfit? Polished and chic but not necessarily loud or, God forbid, too young or too old? This is what I love to do! And this past week, I was delighted to introduce my new services and demonstrate some of my favorite tricks of the trade at a lovely soiree hosted by my friend, Lauren Field, owner of the darling boutique Cotton Exchange. (These ladies know how to laissez les bons temps rouler in style!) It was SO fun to show how to save a too-short dress and how a few well-placed accessories can be powerful, yet confoundingly simple ways to "finish" an outfit without looking ridiculous or overdone. And that's what we want, isn't it? To be our fabulously chic selves without overthinking it!

Pre-hair and make-up. But having fun before the event with Jude Connally dresses and belts.  The dress was toooooo short on me, but I fixed that! All hail to the Gretchen Scott slim white pant!

How To "Finish" An Outfit

So I really wanted to wear a dress for the party, but why are so many of the cutest dresses SO SHORT? It bugs me. Like this Jude Connally dress - I love a great stripe sheath, but yes, it was too short on me. So I added slim white pants. If you love a dress but it is just too short, this is a great way to save it. You may need to hem it a hair if it's in that too-short-to-be-a-dress but too-long-to-be-a-tunic area. The key is that the pants must be slim through your hips and thighs so you're not adding bulk under the dress. And they must be ankle length, not above or below. We've got to see your ankles and the tops of your feet to keep the look from being bottom-heavy.

You can add a belt, too, to tame the fullness, but as long as your pants are slim, you don't have to. It's just a fun way to accessorize. Here are some more ways to make a hard-to-wear piece work and "finish" an outfit for that perfect Spring look.

Please take a look at my 4 new packages, all available in-person or virtually: Travel Packing, Closet Cleanout, Style Refresh and a Comprehensive Style Reset

Spring is the perfect time to realign your wardrobe with who you are now, in this season of life. Whether you’re embracing a new chapter, refining your look, or just want to feel a little more you in your clothes. I'd love to help you!

Best,

Tina
