Spring Trends You Can Actually Wear

Hi ladies! It's Amy on the blog today. I'm our Williamson County stylist and love dressing our women of the South. I'll dress you, too, if you want to make the trip to Nashville or Franklin!

Tina and I had the pleasure of recently previewing some spring trends that are actually wearable. We're excited about introducing them to our clients, as well as you, our blog family, and of course our Style Vault insiders.

Spring Trends

I snapped Tina surveying the goods. We analyzed just about all we saw, giving the thumbs up or down. Keep reading for the report.

We started at the new million dollar reno at Belk in Cool Springs. PSA: we don't take any kind of fee or commission for this coverage - our philosophy from day one. That way when we're shopping with you, you can trust us implicitly both when we say no and when we say yes.

Here I am with Tina and Becky Blair (in middle). Becky is the store manager who invited us out to see what we're about to experience with the all-new top-tier Belk after its million dollar overhaul and upgrade. Your city may get one, too.

The minute we walked in, the room was buzzing with excitement and anticipation of what this year’s spring trends are. That us real girls can actually wear. Like, don't show me a crop top. I won't wear it.

The first thing I always tell my clients is that you have to make it your own. It sounds so trite but that’s exactly what fashion is all about, right? We at Tina Adams Consulting have always believed that you have to wear what works for you, your body type and your lifestyle. No matter the trend, ladies! So take what you like, and leave the rest.

Trendy? Yes. Attractive? No. It's all those straps that just don't look right on my skinny feet or any feet at all.

With that being said, this spring will definitely be pushing you to step out of your box.

Spring Trends: Fringe

You've heard Tina say it, fringe is in, ladies. In a big way. But the non-boho crowd can wear this trend, too. How? Go easy on the fringe, and give it a traditional pairing, like what else, but white jeans. Top and jeans, Michael Kors.

This Spring you will see three statement pieces.

1.  Garden Party:   This is a huge spring trend with pale hues, as well as bold. You will see lots of digitized floral and water colors. The day coat will be BIG and believe it or not, the soft palazzo pant. The floral motif will carry over into jewelry and even shoes. So if you don’t want to wear full blown floral, then you can add it through your accessories.

Spring Trends: Florals

Spring Trend: Florals

Go for just a spot of floral if you're not a full-on floral gal. Heels Steve Madden.

2.  Sport Chic:  The moto jacket and tennis shoe is still on trend. Tina is excited! A belted jumpsuit with the polished tennis shoe or even a heel, will be another popular style. I can see Jessica Alba right now sporting (no pun intended) that trend and looking so chic doing it. Don't you just love her!

Spring Trends: Sneakers

Tina tried her best to get me to buy these pink Converse. My girls wear their pink sneakers all over town and love it, so I'm getting close to making them my own.

Spring Trend: Athletic

You're going to see a lot of athletic fabrics used for daytime clothes. Athleisure. This dress and sweater combo is that neoprene-like fabric that will never ever wrinkle. It's by 1. State.

3.  Islander :  Watch for palm prints and the island colors. You will even see this in menswear, printed on blazers (yes!), shorty shorts and loafers. Indigo will also be the color for men this spring! Such a gorgeous color! Back to women, we are seeing the matching top and bottom, with fuller tops and bottoms. Not sure about this trend, but again, if you style it right and if it fits your body type, rock it!

Lilly Pulitzer is still going strong. We make more allowances for bright colors and pattern during the warm months, and always have a soft spot for the Palm Springs Lilly vibe.

Spring Trends

I'm talking my hubby into this linen windowpane check blazer. It's got that breezy, drinks on a veranda feel. He needs it. By Tallia.

I can't wait to shop these fun looks for my clients. If you're in Franklin or Brentwood, email me to book your spring appointment. I've got lots of fun and fabulous new pieces to show you all over town, including special discounts! Thanks for reading, ladies.

Enjoy Spring,

Amy
