Style Hacks For Layering With Sleeveless and Off-The-Shoulder Tops
Tina, here.
Aren't all those pretty off-the-shoulder tops we're seeing everywhere just darling!? And what about all the fabulous sleeveless tops with cut-away shoulders or a choker neckline? I'll tell you what they are, a bad reminder for some that they don't like their arms.
Friends, I know so many women who hate their arms. Let's be like Oprah and make peace with our arms. Think of them like the character lines on our faces, around our smiles. Our arms show a life well-lived, picking up babies and carrying dinner to the table and swimming in the lake and all those other sweet things we do that we couldn't without our arms. Love your arms. You don't have to have famous biceps to bare arms. You just have to have confidence, and know how to do it.
After a certain age, going sleeveless works best when keeping everything else classy. In other words, if the arms are bare, let's not show the legs and cleavage.
And what about all our off-the-shoulder tops we love but can't figure out how to layer something over them to stretch them into more wears?
The indomitable pashmina of course.

Another style hack I love: toss a blazer casually over your shoulders. You see me do this all the time. It's just so, I don't know, Parisian.
This Drape-Front Blazer also comes in a soft ivory! Perfect for slinging over the shoulders on a summer evening.

Honestly, when it comes down to it (outside of the office or church), I hope you wear whatever makes you happy, ladies. Life is too short to care too much about clothes. The only important thing to remember in my book is to dress to respect, not to impress. And have fun with it!
