Spring IS coming, I promise.  It always does.  Every year.  And every year we are caught off guard and seemingly have nothing to wear when the sun comes out and the wool goes to the dry-cleaners.

Swap out your cords and dark jeans for a lighter color jean, add a blazer over a long-sleeve or short-sleeve t-shirt you don't mind wearing on its own when you take off your jacket (i.e. make sure it's not see-through).  Early in the season, your ankle boots are good until it warms up enough to bare your toes.  via pinterest

Pull out your Spring dresses now and wear them with a denim jacket or open cardigan that you can peel off as the temps rise. via skirttherules

Tops to avoid:

No babydoll tops.

A babydoll top, or empire waist creates a wide horizontal plane at your widest part, the ribcage.  Or as we like to say, it creates a boob shelf with lots of volume over your tummy.  No thank you.  via pinterest

No crew necks.

A crewneck is a boyish cut that closes you off and can make you look more buxom than you may want to appear. Go with a v-neck or scoop neck instead, which will open you up and create a vertical line.  via Sierra Trading Post

No peasant blouses.
