So who is this darling online boutique I discovered? Halsbrook. I see clothes, a lot of clothes, and so I have a pretty tight filter when it comes to what I like and will recommend to you. But I am excited for the first time in a long time about this one boutique where you can find, not just a couple cute items, but A LOT all in one place. What is it about Halsbrook? It's fresh! 1. SOUTHCOTT Coral Henley Bamboo-Cotton Dress (comes in 3 colors)
This dress feels like pajamas! That's because it's a bamboo-cotton blend with a gentle stretch. You don't have to dry-clean it, either! It's long enough, I promise. The model is 5'9" and I'm 5' 5" and wearing a medium.
It's a sheath, but I styled it with the wrap belt to dress it up a bit, and added wedges and the clutch I am IN LOVE with. Below I'm wearing it without the belt and a denim jacket and sneakers for a more casual look. It's the dress you could wear every other day this summer instead of shorts or white jeans. The 3/4 sleeves are perfect.
2. SOUTHCOTT White Henley Bamboo-Cotton Top (comes in 4 colors)
I was so bonkers for the bamboo-cotton Southcott dress that I had to have the top as well. It's hard to wear a stiff white button-down in the Summer, so try this instead. The collar makes it feel a tad nicer than a t-shirt, but trust me it feels like a t-shirt. Again, the 3/4 sleeves are perfect. And it's not see-through!
3. MINNIE ROSE Pink Diamond Cashmere Ruana Poncho (comes in 6 colors)
You need, yes need, a lightweight wrap for the Summer. For cool restaurants and galleries. For cool airplanes, and cold offices. I love a poncho so much because it's like a cardigan, but has a little more style. You can drop it over anything at all you're wearing. I'm wearing it over the collared Southcott top, but you can wear it over a dress (the length of the poncho works with any dress), a t-shirt, or even another lightweight sweater.
Style tip: make sure the point of the poncho is off-center to one side, not down the center of your body.
4. Gatsby Bone Leather Wrap Belt (comes in 4 colors)
If you are afraid of belts, this is the belt for you. Easy as pie to wear and you'll add so much style with so little effort. How cute are the fringe tassels? Wrap the belt twice around your waist and then knot for a stand-out accessory. Pair it with a vest, cardigan or shift dress to accentuate your figure. You'll see in this post I've also worn it with my ankle pants! And I'm wearing it over a skirt here. See how versatile!
5. and 6. Double Gold and Rhodium Cobra Bracelet (2 colors) and KAYU Straw Clutch (comes in 6 colors)
I purposely styled every outfit with both the cobra bracelets and the clutch so you could see how fabulous they are with anything. They take whatever you're wearing up a couple notches without being so over-the-top fancy. I admit, I was trying to decide between the 2-tone gold and rhodium bracelet and just the gold one, but then I saw how Halsbrook had styled both on the same arm, and they both ended up in my shopping cart! And I've worn them both together ever since. The two-tone one is so good to tie together your gold and silver jewelry, like if your watch is yellow gold but your wedding rings are platinum.
Good news: they don't catch on the little hairs on your wrist!
