What To Wear On The Weekends This Fall

Tina, here.

When you're not wearing white jeans or slit hem pants this fall, what will you be wearing? Sometimes we need to break out of our uniform and try something different. To keep everyone guessing. Ha. I'm a somewhat predictable dresser. I have a classic-focused uniform I stick pretty closely to that consists of neutrals with occasional pops of color. I like to wear jeans (if I'm not on an appointment with a client), a blouse, and fantastic shoes and jewelry. Accessories are where I often choose to have my fun because I can try out new trends on the cheap, or invest in fabulous pieces I'll wear for years and years with various outfits that come and go. Soooo, what else is there to wear besides jeans (the answer is NOT yoga pants)?

What To Wear On The Weekends This Fall

Jeans in another color of course! I love black jeans. But I've also (re)discovered jeans in the brown family. Classic camel,
chocolate, mushroom, and so on. Even olive and army green are a fresh alternative to blue jeans.

I'm also a fan of barn coats and down jackets (aka puffy jackets, which is such an unfortunate name). It's the prairie girl in me who wishes I lived on acres of land so I could ride horses and read under the trees. It's also the anglophile in me who likes to galavant around in wellies and my make-believe 1984 Range Rover. But no one looks silly anymore in these kinds of get ups because they are mainstream and so practical for fall days. This uniform is good for travel, too. Don't you get tired of seeing every tourist under the sun wearing blue jeans? Speaking of, we'll be doing some packing posts, too. Lots of our friends and clients travel in the fall, so we'll get you all set up with the perfect suitcase with the perfect outfits.
