You Need An Ivory Blazer
Tina, here.
There are just so many stinkin' cute clothes out there right now!! But be careful, every time you're scrolling, scrolling, and see new cute things ALL the time, EVERY day, you'll be tempted to buy something new, anything new, every day, and who can do that? Well, here's the thing. The women and young women who scroll everyday and purchase every day and have a package or packages show up every day at their doorstep are buying CHEAP FAST FASHION. Wear it once or twice, and if it doesn't fall apart or you don't have to snip all the loose threads every time you pull it out, it's a miracle. I've bought plenty of this fun garbage, and been lucky with a few of these impulse buys that actually held up to multiple washings and I didn't get tired of them (even a blind squirrel gets a nut once in a while).
But one cannot live on cheap thrills alone. We have to have some quality, classic foundation pieces that make a wardrobe truly chic. High - low. That's the secret.
And the foundation piece you need right now is an ivory jacket. A blazer, jacket or even an off-white or ecru denim jacket. It can be the difference-maker in your Spring and Summer wardrobe, taking it from insta-trash to elegant Swan. (By the way, Darcy, I am finally watching Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, and what a show!). And I cannot explain why I am wearing one of the most blah outfits ever with this gorgeous, though wrinkled, ivory blazer I found at TJMaxx (it's Club Monaco, sold out, but I found you lots of similar ones). Why didn't I put a pretty pink blouse underneath, or with pretty lilac pants or just something else! Ugh. Oh well.
