Are Denim Skirts A Thing Again?

Tina, here.

Do you have a denim skirt in the back regions of your closet? Put it back into rotation this Summer. Yes, denim skirts are a thing again. They fall into that category (at least I think they do) of a favorite that is always classic, but sometimes "on trend" and that time is now, and probably will be for the next couple Summers. Which means, now is a good time to stock up...but not so fast. It's hard to find "normal" denim skirts when they are trendy. That's because designers want to have their own take on a reinvented classic, and so most available versions are weird and fashion-y. Here are some normal ones, that are also quite wearable and fun and not weird. Oh, I should mention - why even wear denim skirts? Because they are a hot-weather alternative to jeans, and they're not shorts. Or evil capris.

Ummmm can anyone tell I missed my last hair appointment to cover my gray? Oh well. It happens. And life goes on.

Finding one with a slit that doesn't cut all the way up your legs is a challenge. And finding one that just barely covers your bum is also difficult. I got rid of some old denim skirts years ago when I lost my mind and thought I should "downsize" my wardrobe - terrible decision because I let go of some treasures. I've been buying them back on eBay and Poshmark when I find them. Anyway, I looooove faded denim, always have. So I was on THE HUNT for a great faded denim skirt, and that hunt led me to, prepare yourself, Amazon.

If you are maybe shorter than, say, 5'5" you may want to hem it to across your kneecaps or just above. Keeping it a bit longer, as long as the skirt is penciled, makes it a little more versatile.

This denim skirt is ok below the knee because it's a tiered, full skirt.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and just as a little teaser, new things are brewing...keep a watch!
