3 Pieces to Get You Through Your Holiday Parties

Merry December! While we celebrate precious family and spiritual traditions with those dearest to us, we're here to make sure you are dressed to a tee while making memories! Let's take a look at what you need in your closet, the three key pieces to get you through all the holiday jingle and jangle.

Tina, here.

There are so many wardrobe changes this month, and even though we've already shared a lot of wardrobe staples for you earlier this season so you could get a head start, surely you have a few more holes in your closet? Or just need some fresh and colorful ideas for how to wear what you have? You know I'm all about that! Aside from the LBD you have on hand, let's look at some ways you can reinvent what you may have worn last year. And now all my holiday party outfits are being exposed, but oh well, you're worth it!

1. A Fun Skirt

I do love sparkle during the holidays. But I'm also obsessed with plaid. For someone who doesn't wear many patterns, or color for that matter, here is where I can have some fun. Red is difficult to wear next to the face, so wearing it on your bottom half is a great alternative. More to come on this fun photo shoot - keep an eye out!

2. A Versatile Sheath

You've got your LBD. And so do I. Now it's time to add a versatile dress in a gorgeous color you can wear any time of the year. I love jewel tones, and they look so rich and gorgeous during the holidays. You can wear it to work with sensible shoes, and change into your sparkly heels and jewelry for a seamless day to evening look. More on how to do this coming this month! (Insiders, shop our gorgeous dresses in the all new December Must-Haves collection.)

3. Dark Rinse Jeans

My go-to. Your go-to. And always needs updating. The Dark Rinse Jean. The darker the rinse, the dressier the jeans. You just need a couple good pairs, one hemmed for flats and another for heels, and add a fancy top or jacket. Done. The rule of thumb is to keep twice as many tops as bottoms in your closet. This is why - a top is what really finishes an outfit. Oh, and the shoes. (Insiders, don't forget to shop all the holiday outfits just added to the Vault, in our December Must-haves collection.)

We could shop your closet and unearth pieces hiding in the corners or in plain sight that you'd never dream we'd choose to reinvent for the holidays. We're always finding treasures in clients' closets when they least expect it. But if I get a hankering to switch it up and wear something different than these party outfits, don't hold it against me. I'm usually dressing 15 minutes before I have to leave. Cobbler's children and all that. :)

Merry, merry!
