Fall Is Coming, And With It, New Colors!

I've heard kids go back to school next week, at least in the South. I think up north they still have it right, where no one is allowed to stop frolicking in the summer sun til after Labor Day. I guess when white jeans became a year round staple, all bets were off when it came to seasonal mores. So, you know my favorite way to transition your wardrobe from high summer to late summer/early fall is to change your color combinations. Instead of hot pink with your white jeans, try caramel and honey tones.

And, guess what color is huge huge huge this fall? BROWN. My wardrobe clients know I sing the song of brown and always have. That's because brown is so much richer than black, which can look harsh against primary colors. I always advise buying brown boots before black, a brown handbag before black, and so on. Here are some of my first Fall picks in shades of caramel, honey, chocolate, and let's not forget con-yak i.e. cognac.
